A relative of my friend gave him this strange wooden object at his wedding and didn’t explain what it was or what it was for. 🤔 Out of politeness, my friend accepted the gift and kept it in the closet for several years. 😲 Recently, we found out the purpose of this strange object, and we were shocked. 😱
In the link in the comments, I explain what it is and what it’s for 👇👇
Many years ago, my friend received this strange wooden object as a wedding gift. It was given by a distant relative with a mysterious smile, without explaining anything.
The object was small, with wooden prongs – it looked like a hybrid between a comb and a holder for something unknown. At first glance, it seemed just like a decorative item.
My friend, not wanting to appear rude, thanked the giver and carefully stored the gift in the closet. Years went by, and the mysterious object was moved from shelf to shelf, from apartment to apartment, always causing confusion.
He even tried to guess its purpose – a holder for earrings? A miniature brush dryer? An art object?
But one evening, while going through his things and stumbling upon it again, we sat down and decided to finally figure out what it was. We opened the internet, uploaded a photo, went to forums… and finally found the answer.
It turned out to be a cheese holder. An unusual but very practical kitchen accessory: with it, you can cut and serve cheese without touching it with your hands. Convenient, hygienic, and even with a little twist.
But we still have one question that even the internet couldn’t answer: why would someone give such a thing at a wedding and not explain what it is?
